Every major poll in the nation revealed that, on Iraq, a large majority of the American people were on the Democratic Party's side. All the Democrats would have had to do was make a compelling case for cutting off funding, had Bush continued in his obstinance, and the American people would have quickly seen the light and supported that move, too. Instead, the Democrats immediately reverted to their spineless, warmongering Democratic Leadership Council ways and caved into Bush's bluster!
